[Verse 1]
Closed off from love, I didn't need the pain
Once or twice was enough and it was all in vain
Time starts to pass, before you know it you're frozen
But something happened for the very first time with you
My heart melted to the ground
Found something true
And everyone's looking round thinking I'm going crazy
[Pre-Chorus]
But I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
[Chorus]
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open
[Verse 2]
Trying hard not to hear, but they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears, try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that their goal is to keep me from falling
But nothing's greater than the risk
That comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness, I see your face
Yet everyone around me thinks that I'm going crazy
Maybe, maybe
[Pre-Chorus]
But I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
[Chorus]
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open
[Bridge]
And it's draining all of me
Though they find it hard to believe
I'll be wearing these scars for everyone to see
[Pre-Chorus]
But I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein that I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
[Chorus]
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
(Ooh, you cut me open and I)
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding (Oohhh)
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding (I keep...)
Keep, keep bleeding love
[Outro]
Ooh, you cut me open and I
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
Closed off from love, I didn't need the pain

Jan 8, 2010 - Song-writing: Leona Lewis and Simon Cowell were so impressed with RyanTedder that he was the first collaborator on board for Leona's. All in vain /. (paroles de la chanson Bleeding Love – LEONA LEWIS). Paroles de Bleeding Love. My heart's crippled by the vein.
He wrote Leona Lewis's huge hit Bleeding Love and stood up to Simon Cowell but Ryan Tedder just wants to be a star himself
You sometimes wonder how Ryan Tedder finds the time to front a band. Over the past two years, he has been the 'go-to guy' for anyone aiming to conquer the U.S. charts.
He wrote and produced Bleeding Love for Leona Lewis, helping her to crack America in the process, and has penned hits for Beyonce, Natasha Bedingfield and Jennifer Lopez.
With Simon Cowell searching for a seasoned hitmaker to help him turn Joe McElderry into a global star, Tedder's mobile phone has been ringing again.
Hit-maker: Ryan Tedder lead singer for One Republic performs in concert at the Murat Egyptian Room in Indianapolis, Indiana
All of which is well and good. The only problem is that the 30-year-old wants to be a star in his own right. For the past eight years, he has sung and played guitar with OneRepublic, a Denver-based pop quintet who are about to release their second album.

'To be honest, I only started writing and producing for other people to pay my bills and support the band,' says Ryan.
'I used to sell songs to anyone who'd have them, and there are a few skeletons in my closet. At least I can now be more choosy about who I work with. But, for me, the greatest satisfaction comes when a OneRepublic song connects with people.'
OneRepublic haven't done badly so far. Occupying the middle ground between Maroon 5 and Coldplay, their 2007 debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, sold two million copies and had two huge hit singles in Apologize and Stop And Stare.
Now they are hoping to make an even bigger splash with a new album, Waking Up, which is out this month.
Combining hummable tunes with cinematic arrangements, the album underlines Tedder's versatility. His vocals have a tendency to lapse into a falsetto reminiscent of Chris Martin, but it is hard to fault the artistic ambition of the singer and his bandmates Zach Filkins, Drew Brown, Brent Kutzle and Eddie Fisher.
Song-writing: Leona Lewis and Simon Cowell were so impressed with RyanTedder that he was the first collaborator on board for Leona's second album
Pressure: Ryan is adept at dealing with the punishing demands of Cowell
With new single All The Right Moves setting a grand tone, the album uses guitars, cellos and crashing drums (a Tedder trademark) to propel the band forward.
Says Ryan: 'Because our first two hits were different from one another, we don't have to stick to a style. That said, I know what we're good at. I'm also a sucker for a beautiful melody.'
Tedder's love of song dates back to boyhood. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and raised in Denver, Colorado, he found music through the Church (his mother is from a family of preachers) and his parents' tapes of The Beach Boys and Stevie Wonder. 'I was the all-American boy,' he says.
'I was a straight-A student, but I also acted and played soccer and tennis. At 17, I was offered a scholarship to study drama in New York, but I turned it down to focus on music.'
Initially, the pop career went well. In 2001, Tedder won Freelance Talent Search, an MTV-sponsored singing contest that preceded American Idol. While the promised record deal never materialised, salvation arrived in the shape of iconic hip-hop producer Timbaland, who took the young tunesmith under his wing.
Says Ryan: 'He initially hired me as a vocalist, but I ended up sitting in on his recording sessions. I was there when he made Justified with Justin Timberlake, so you could say I studied production at the University Of Timbaland.'
Tedder's prospects took a downturn after he returned to Colorado and formed OneRepublic.
Despite signing to Columbia, the band were dropped without releasing a record and were on the verge of splitting up when Timbaland intervened, signing OneRepublic as the first rock act on his own Mosley Music label.
By this point, Tedder was also making his mark as a songwriter and was about to enjoy a huge hit with Bleeding Love, the biggestselling single of 2007.
'I was thinking of Prince when I wrote Bleeding Love,' he says. 'I had a young female singer, Leona Lewis, so I thought: what would Prince do? I wanted a song that wasn't simply ear-candy, so I combined a hard, gritty drum beat with a beautiful chord sequence.'
So impressed were Lewis and Cowell that Tedder was the first collaborator on board for Leona's second album, Echo, writing three songs, including the first single Happy.
'I wanted to be involved again, but I also had to curb people's expectations. 'I had to tell Simon that we weren't going to make Bleeding Love II. Leona is more self-confident now. I can make fun of her, and she'll give it back.'
Tedder has also become adept at dealing with the punishing demands of Cowell.
'What I like about Simon is his directness,' he says.
'His time is valuable, so you can accomplish more in 20 minutes with him than you can in two hours with another record executive. He's also prepared to listen. With Happy, he wanted me to change the drum sound. But I told him that changing it would mean the song not getting played on American radio - so he backed off.'
Yet although Cowell is always just a phone call away, Tedder's prime concern now is OneRepublic - he's even declined a senior post at a big U.S. record label.
'If I didn't think OneRepublic could make it, I wouldn't be here,' he says. 'My aim is to make us one of the most relevant bands in the world.'
•All The Right Moves is out on Monday. Waking Up is released on January 18, when OneRepublic play the Scala, London. For ticket details, visit gigsandtours.com.
